How very, very fortunate we are here in little Batavia. Fortunate enough to have had over 100 musicians of all ages from all over the country that wanted to come back "home" and perform for Ramble 3.
Even more fortunate were we to have had Bill McDonald and Bill Pitcher and the Posse to do all that was necessary to ensure that this year's Ramble would be the success it was.
Can you imagine the number of details to be handled when 100 musicians in 23 bands play at three different venues over the course of eight hours? Now add in all the logistics involved for the hundreds of "guests" that got to enjoy the long day of music and memories. But Wild Bill and Mild Bill did it and did it well!
Ramble 3 was even better than Ramble 2 and I'll bet Ramble 4 will be even better still. We should all give our thanks to all those involved for allowing us to kick back and enjoy the great music and those sweet memories. As I said, how very, very fortunate we are here in little Batavia -- thanks to their labor of love.
